See more about this pub on WhatPub, CAMRA's national pub guide.
The pub is set within the town walls between the marina and castle. This historic town, a World Heritage Site, is well worth a visit, ending with a welcome pint at the Black Boy. The public bar and small lounge are warmed by roaring fires. Good-value food is served and the guest beer usually comes from Purple Moose. There is a drinking area outside on the traffic-free street. A previous local CAMRA award winner.
